Hotham Building Materials
The Hotham Building Materials site is located in Windsor, Ontario in a high-traffic corridor, visible to the public. The warehouse frontage had been painted multiple times over the years. The surface was delaminating, allowing water to leak into the interior.
Project Objective:
Waterproof the wall surface and improve the overall presence of the building.
Sealcon Solution:
- Vapour blasting equipment used to remove the paint layers back to the bare block surface.
- Repaired mortar joints.
- Re-sealed doors and water penetration areas.
- Applied Tremco™ TremGard HB elastomeric coating system.
Result:
Outer walls were stripped of paint and restored to their former state, problem areas were sealed against leaks. The elastomeric coating provided the finishing touch – a tough, durable and breathable protection to last for years to come.
